Ken Paiva is a retired Engineer and Operations-Program Leader whose 40+ year career spanned military, medical, and industrial innovation. His experiences and world travels have granted him a deep understanding of people, politics, and global change—insights that now fuel his writing.
Ken began his career working as a civilian for the U.S. Navy, where he helped validate the first submarine-based Tomahawk Cruise Missile Systems. After traveling extensively, he shifted his focus from “missiles to medicine” to build a stable life and start a family.
In this new chapter, he joined a pioneering software development team building one of the first Proton Treatment Planning Systems—an innovation that enabled physicians to visualize and customize radiation treatment using proton beams.
Ken concluded his career at General Electric Digital Software, where he spent 22 years leading Management and Operations programs. Now retired, he brings the same precision and passion to his writing, offering readers powerful, historically inspired fiction with a human heart.
